This morning, for reasons I won't bore you with, I had to take my car to the garage in the next town. It was an early drop off, 7am, and by the time I had caught the train home, the sun was just starting to rise. My local train station is right next to Fleet Pond, a rather unassuming name for a vast nature reserve. It was pretty cold, but the timing with the light was so perfect I couldn't resist taking a few shots with my Fuji X70.
I shot in RAW and JPEG, and typically I like the very contrasty JPEGS I have my Fujis set up to take, but when I got home I decided to do a bit of post processing in Lightroom to make the shots a little more subtle.
Finally, I took this one. I had intended it to be black and white, but when I got it into Lightroom I decided to have a go an enhancing the colours. I am not, as you know, a colour shooter, but I have a soft spot for muted colours, and this Turner-esque look rather appealed.
