A Good Half Mile

01 Foggy.jpg

We are still deep in lockdown here Dear Readers. The Delightful Mr F and I have not gone completely stir crazy as yet, but with the vaccine being rolled out at an impressive rate, we hope that we will be able to leave our immediate surroundings soon. In the meantime, I though it was about time I shared my lockdown project. It’s called “A Good Half Mile”. All the photographs are taken within a half mile of my home. Nominally I live in a perfectly nice market town, but with London not to too far away it is easy to dismiss it as not having any photographic value whatsoever. One thing lockdown has done for me is make me really look at my environment and work hard to seek out interesting shots. Over the next few weeks I will upload additional images under the Project area of this site. I have also started a new Instagram account especially for this project. Head over and give me a follow at @agoodhalfmile.

The images in this post are from my walk in the woods this morning. It was foggy which gave a lovely flat light, but oh my goodness, the mud! There were several perilous moments where I was in danger of loosing a wellington. Never let it be said that I won’t suffer for my art.
