Where There Was Too Much Work…

… and then there was rain.

For all my best intentions for getting a grip of 2019, 2019 seems to have got a stronger grip on me. I went for a whole three weeks without shooting a single frame, between work, travel for work and the fact that I forgot to take my camera when I was travelling, August was a complete wash out.

Hope was on the horizon for September as The Delightful Mr F and I headed off to Devon for a week’s holiday. The boot packed with camera gear, we discussed photographic plans as we drove down the motorway. Our hopes for sun drenched autumnal photographs were quickly dashed. Oh my, how it rained. It rained and rained and rained. The type of rain that bounces off the pavements and soaks your trousers up to the knees.

Not to be put off The Delightful Mr F and I went to the coast on several days, dodging the downpours and sheltering where we needed to. On our final day, there was sunshine, but the wind was so high there was a significant risk of loosing our ice creams. Well, you don’t necessarily holiday in the UK for the weather do you?

Here are some random, dry-ish shots from the week…
